About this mezcal
Acre Cenizo is produced with Agave durangensis in Nombre de Dios, Durango. Maestro mezcalero Jorge Burciaga mills his agave by hand with an axe, ferments with spring water, and double distills in a copper still.
Acre Mezcal began as a bootleg operation in 2017, tucked away in the foothills of San Jose del Cabo at Acre Baja, a lush sanctuary set on 25 acres of greenery. The Acre Mezcal brand is related to the Acre Baja resort, which features elegant treehouses, organic farms, private event spaces, and an award-winning bar and restaurant.
In 2021, the brand raised money via the StartEngine platform at a $10 million pre-money valuation.
