About this mezcal

47% abv, 08/18 distillation date, lote BOO15AR4719

Review #91: Nose is cotton, mild florals, milk, leather, and old wood. Palate is vanilla, cotton, caramel, milk, vanilla, leather, weird musty funk, almonds, and milk chocolate.

This is a sneaky one, and I didn’t really like it at first. Although it is kind of mild in flavor and aroma, it has a nice savory aspect that i enjoy. It needed some time to open up and my palate to adjust to it, but as it does it really glows up. It’s really easygoing and soft too.

Lot AR470619, bottle 38/144.

Sweet nose. Taste is soft, mellow, refined and elegant. Sweet like medjool dates and toffee. Maybe a hint of Lay’s BBQ chips. No obvious alcohol burn. Negligible smokiness.

I like more punch and complexity most of the time but for something different this is excellent.

Dark roasty flavor, not as strong on the chocolate as the Mezcalero No. 20 that i tried it next to. Super smooth, not a ton of bite.
