About this mezcal

Mezcal Cinco Elementos Tepeztate is produced from 100% maguey Tepeztate (agave Marmorara) in San Lorenzo Albarradas, Oaxaca. The harvested agave hearts were cooked underground, mashed with a tahona, fermented in pine wood tanks, and then distilled twice in copper alembic stills. This mezcal has an herbal mint flavor.

Cinco Elementos Mezcal (M5CE)

Mezcal, the drink of the gods, is created by combining five elements: Air, Water, Earth, Fire and the Maguey. Mezcal Cinco Elementos is produced by hand with the experience of three generations. The management of the land, the care of the plants and the supervision of the production is in constant vigilance to guarantee a delicious final result.

This surprised me. Super vegetal. Nice pine spice. Light on the palate.. Almost too light. No alcohol bite. Probably more of a 3.75 for me – the finish is a bit quick. Definitely seems like the alcohol content isn’t 50%+. Lot 2, bottle 41. 51.5%.
