Best value coming out of Convite and something I’ll grab as a no-brainer when I’m in the mood for something from that region.
Bit of convite brininess with a balance of sweet agave, herbal freshness and toasted wood smoke.

Smells smokey.

Oily but soft and mouthful, bitter and very peaty. Not sweet at all, almost wish it was sweeter as the only note I feel is bitterness. Yet, it feels very balanced, pleasant mild peat aftertaste continues for a while. Overall, I like this, as long as you can get past bitter notes.

I think this might be the peatiest mezcal I’ve tried. Must be a good foray for scotch drinkers.

Lot OC15 Bottle 1077 … Fresh sweet agave both on the nose and tongue. A long minty finish. Enjoyed neat. AbV 42%

One of the better offerings from Convite for my taste. Lots of fresh sweet agave juice and mint. I’d like to know the ratio of Madrecuixe as it is present but not a huge flavor note.

A few mezcals into the tasting at this point, but i remembered this one being tasty. A little lower on the ABV than I usually like (this one was 42%). Brought back from Mexico by a friend.
