Leather, allspice, citrus peel on the nose. A bit alcohol.

Very pleasant palate, vegetal notes making me think about a dish of chayote and moritas. Some nuts and agave fruitiness, not too much of the peanut and coconut skin I associate with tobasiche. Balanced and very tasty, although there are other tobasiches offering more flavours.

Vegetal and spicy. Viscous. This is enjoyable with notes of orange cream and fresh green vegetables pulled recently from the earth. I don’t like this quite as much as the Mexicano, but still really good.

Like other Koch mezcals I’ve tasted, this is very light on the palate. The flavor notes are light and sweet, with citrus and roasted sugar. Surprised it’s 47% ABV because it goes down smooth. It’s a decent mezcal to sip on but not as complex as other mezcals made with agave tobasiche.
