Sacacuento 3-year Anejo

Sacacuenta 3-year Anejo has tasting notes of soft clay, baked agave, singed caramel, and a finish of vanilla, oatmeal and burnt hemp.

About this mezcal

Sacacuenta 3-year Anejo is made with agave Espadin. It’s a more aged version of their regular Anejo. It has similar notes to the Anejo, but is decidedly rounder, sweeter, and woodier, even though it has a higher ABV.

Sacacuento Mezcal

Sacacuento Mezcal has it’s own 150-acre agave ranch named Rancho Buenaventura, which is located approximately 10 minutes south of the City of Nochixtlan, Oaxaca. The agave ranch has approximately 50,000 agave Espadin and 1,000 agave Tobala currently growing. Mezcal production on the ranch began in 1913 when Emilio Maldonado began making mezcal from the wild agave Espadin that grew among other crops. He sold his mezcal to travelers who often passed through the ranch. As he sat with the travelers and shared the mezcal, they would tell great stories. Those who told the best stories were called “Sacacuento.” Today, the ranch and mezcal brand are owned and operated by Emilio’s granddaughter, Claudia Favila and her husband Rudy Favila.

excellent spirit!aging mezcals can ruin the quality and basic taste but there are exceptions.this is very tasty.it keeps the personality of an espadin but has nice vanilla and caramel notes.it is 84 proof but doesnt take away from the flavor.entrance is soft with hints of a fine whiskey.mid way opens to agave, honey suckle and slight smoke.the finish is medium in length, sweet and very mellow.would love to own a case of this fine mezcal!will buy again!
