Toffee and and earthy sweet note with a spicy finish.
A little sweeter nose than the 1st Edition OR. Candied apples on the nose and a dryness that I’m enjoying. Sage and cracked pepper, with a nice bote.
Nose is awesome! Pine, chocolate and caramel – worther’s originals – and hint of savory jerky. Could smell it for hours. Green peppers up front, moves to a sweeter approach of bananas foster and maple syrup.
Muted. Anise and overtly sweet agave. Not a lot to report here. Surprisingly inoffensive but complete forgettable.
Sweet coffee liqueur and some agave mid-palate with a sugary finish, Bottom of the cup cheap diner coffee and the agave has been smothered with a pillow. A desert drink.
Edition 1 254/1040 Lote CA03C05 Citrus pith, fresh linen scented candle and mint. Sage, anise, sandal wood and cracked pepper with a dry body
Bottle 47/198 A Bright nose with a sweet element. Fresh linen room freshener and artificial pear candy. There’s a sharpness on the palate, where I might have expected something softer given the aging. Black licorice and some oak notes. Hints of that metallic bit mentioned by others. Spice and a long finish, which is hotter than the mid-palate.
Berry compote and lavender. Damp, wet soil, with a minerality and organic notes. Really deep and enjoyable profile.
Tube of fresh tennis balls, menthol, sweet tropical fruits. Jalapenos, anise and peppercorns on the palate. Great heat, love the finish. This one is bright and crisp, really enjoyable.
July 2020 46.5% Strawberries and cream on the nose, palate is cilantro, lemongrass, with a spicy finish. Stellar.
Musty and organic nose – the clay pot is making its presence. Nose is overripe berries with chocolate notes. Steamed greens, all spice and peppercorns on the palate.
Perlas! Zesty jalapeno peppers, spearmint, ginger, cilantro with a spicy kick. Super complex and long finish. This rocked.
Nice richness in the nose with a sense of effervescent green punch. I get white pepper with a clean and enjoyable finish.
Batch XJM27-17 111/1330 Leather, unripe bananas, green peppers and licorice. Really enjoyable and top 3 in the lineup for me
Batch XBP06-17 440/2200 Enjoyable, but not remarkable. Butterscotch, some peatiness and rubber balls.
Batch XBP04-17 453/600 Fresh rain fall, pineapple and ash with an interesting sourness to the finish.
Batch XJM21-17 441/5325 Super solid! This one is buttery with an oily mouthfeel and notes of citrus and pepper.
Batch XJM22-17 662/1120 bottled at 49% An Absolute star. Floral notes of geraniums on the nose and eucalyptus. In the mouth: leather notes, anise and citrus peel. An interesting and completely enjoyable expression of Tep.
