Very clean espadin with sweet notes of pear and crisp apple. Probably one of the best espadins I have tried which makes sense as its also one of most expensive $70. This was lot LH02 which had the perfect bite.
Felt sweet like there was somthing else in this mezcal. Its like a hint of vanilla which is probably a trend on the celeb side of production
When I see cupreata I get excited because the delicious flavor. This one fell flat with just a heat like a cheap espadin. I am surprised so many high stars but maybe the have changed productions styles recent since this brand is now with Southern Wine for distribution and probably getting diluted in quality. It was cheap at the bar so I shouldnt have expected much
I got hints of banana on the nose with a nice spice that came in. A really clean espadin with nice heat at the 48% abv
I felt this espadin was hot for 40% abv. Definitely lacked some of the scents from a good espadin as it was a muted nose.
A delicious expression of Tobala from Carreno! Just a nice fragrant floral nose with a lightly sweet hints on each sip. Nice spice and balance at 46% would have this be a top one in my bar regularly.
I just tried this at a event in Phoenix and it was great earthy with a melon pop. The other reviews on this are 1-2 years old so I dont know if they got it dialed in on production since then but I enjoyed it. I think it has a nice smooth light smoke finish that is enjoyable. They have a 42% version that was used in Cocktails that I enjoyed even more
I was excited for this pechuga but it was high in spice and lacked the unique flavors accustomed with pechugas. Seems like it was a cheap espadin that wasnt good that they tried to enhance.
The Espadín really is overpowered in this ensamble. I dont know what the % of blend but its very sharp to taste. The spiciness is very apparent and I would prefer to put this in a cocktail (yes even Mexicano) than keep sipping neat.
The more I sipped with Madrecuishe bottle the more I enjoyed it. Has a great grassy notes with a minerality on the tongue that lingers. Its a very soft 48% which is nice
Big fan of this bacanora, its been in AZ for a while and when I see it I get a pour. It definately has some grassy notes with the meaty finish others have mentioned
One of the best karwinskii agave expressions I have ever tried. It has such a sweet nose and deep minerality. I wish I had more brands with Lumbre to compare because the only other one was horrible. Maestro Leonardo Hernandez is probably my favorite from Oaxaca
