A mature and robust smoky mezcal with lots of spice and a peppery finish, reminiscent of being out in the woods on a cool morning
Vegetal aroma with hints of olives and capers. It has a gentle spice and wood & mineral flavours. Slightly dry aftertaste of grapefruit peel and cooked agave sweetness.
Great sipper!
Lots of papaya & vanilla on the nose. To me it has a dry start with hints of juniper before moving in to juicy green flavours with lingering oak. Gorgeous!
A wonderfully light and fruity mezcal with lots of spicy notes and white pepper. The finish is subtle but lingering
Afraid this might be the reason that mezcal has a bad reputation in England… Most commonly found in shops and bars that don’t have an agave focus. It’s novelty because of the added worm which started as a marketing gimmick in the 50s. Tastes watered down and tastes industrially made, with no love for the agave/traditions.
Tobala has a gorgeously smooth and crisp taste with balanced smoke, very gentle on the palate with a lingering taste of minerality that reminds of wet clay. Absolutely delicious and my favourite of the range!
Ridiculously delicious with funky flavours that reminds of jalapeno poppers/blue cheese. First sip was too much for me and didn’t enjoy it but every sip after that was wonderful!
Very slick and smooth with a brilliant creamy texture. Everything about this mezcal is delicate and incredibly well balanced which makes it such a wonderful sipper and a great introduction to the wonders of mezcal!
