Gusto Historico Verde Mexicano was produced by maestro mezcalero Victor Ramos in Miahuatlan, Oaxaca. Victor single-distilled this mezcal in a copper refrescadera still. The town of Mengoli de Morelos where he lives and works alongside his son Emanuel has a population of just under 200 people.

The brand was started by one of the co-founders of famed Oaxacan mezcaleria Mezcaloteca, and the Gusto Histórico brand features many of the same producers, with a focus on preserving traditional production methods and practices.

234 reviewsBatch VR.05.22.VM. This is a tasty Mihuatlan karwinski bomb. Nose of wet rain on cement, citrus, and red berries. This has the classic slate and minerals. It also has notes of raspberry, green apple, a hint of chocolate and a little spice. A sublime offering from Mezcalero Victor Ramos.
