My first taste was a sip of Vida at a house party, but the first mezcal that hooked me was Vago Elote.

Maybe Vago Elote, but I also got bottles of Alipus San Andrés and Pierde Almas Espadín early on.

I have a bottle of a 2014 Almamezcalera Espadilla Pechuga from Puebla made by Asunción Matilde at 60% ABV that's distilled with chivo (goat) and mole poblano. I bought it in 2016 and have been nursing it, trying to make it last. It's so delicious it makes my eyes roll back every time I taste it.
