Anise seed, vanilla and maple upfront, caramel and grasshoppers (chapulines) in the middle, some cacao bean thrown in for good measure, black pepper and long lasting firewood with an acetic bite to finish. Surprisingly round and cozy, it always makes me think of a good massage. My batch (12-E) was 50.4%, I enjoyed it thoroughly and with a bit of sadness: I probably won’t be buying anymore since they’ve gone Diageo.
