A long time ago, I bought a bottle of Del Maguey Minero, thinking I needed a bottle of mezcal to complete my rather comprehensive drinks collection. It was left unopened until, three years ago, I finally shared it with a liquor-loving friend. We were both blown away - and finished the bottle that evening.

Impossible to say. I have had great Jabalí, Tepextate and Tobalá - but also excellent Espadín.
My favourite mezcal so far is a Real Matlatl Cerrudo, but please ask again in a few years.
