First a disclaimer. I am new to Mescal. But I adore this one. Has a nice rich butter scotch beginning to it and a very smooth mid-palate leading to finish that just goes on and on with plenty of fruit and smoke. (I counted to 30 and I still could taste it like a hauntingly complex music note fading into the distance). You never quite know when it’s really gone. Hedonistic! There is nothing not to like about it. I also like the fact that the entire operation is run by women. Yola and her crew making a single product. Simple and gorgeous. I haven’t tasted enough Mescal to say five stars, but it sure is good! Lot is listed as “07 November.”
