Think about mezcal

First time enjoying mezcal:

Around 2015 with a bottle of Los Nahuales Anejo. Started out rough. I didn’t particularly like it. As I learned more about how and why mezcal differs from tequila, I developed an acute appreciation for it. This mezcal is now one of my favorites, and I try to pick up at least one bottle each year.

If stranded on a desert island with only one mezcal:

Probably Ilegal Reposado. Not my favorite, but smooth and enjoyable enough to sip on a forever basis if I had nothing else. I don’t think I’d get tired of it.
