Elenita Sparkling Mezcal Pineapple Jalapeño is a mezcal canned cocktail made with 100% Maguey Espadin from Oaxaca, Mexico. After the agave plants grow for 7 years, they are roasted in an underground pit for 5 days, mashed with a grindstone, naturally fermented, and then twice distilled into artisanal Mezcal. Next, natural flavors and juices along with light carbonation is added to create a ready-to-drink mezcal cocktail.
Elentia is the first canned mezcal cocktail. Co-founders Jordan Dil and Mikel Noriega met in business school at UCLA. Dil is from Canada and Noriega is from Mexico City. The pair developed a relationship with a mezcal producer in San Dionisio Ocotepec with the help of the brand Bruxo Mezcal. They also worked with the Consejo Regulador del Mezcal (CRM) to legally sell a product labeled "mezcal". The team behind Elenita wants their product to serve as a gateway for the beginning of one's mezcal journey.
