60 reviewsEl Agave has it nailed for the tasting notes. The finish is so clean, it maintains this refined quality that I like very much. I find Americana to be hit or miss for my palate but this one was crafted expertly. Great expression!

73 reviewsI guess this is my favorite mezcal in the Americana family which I’ve tried through various Arroqueños, and this definitely tastes like a member of that family.
Instead of vegetal, I’m tasting rich and savory minerality. Root beer/sassafras. Bittersweet cocoa powder. Granite and copper. And then, surprisingly, a sweet aftertaste reminiscent of diet soda/aspartame. Very little heat at any point.
I tried this at In Situ in Oaxaca City and it didn’t make the cut given the number of bottles I had in my bag, so I bought a bottle in NYC. It cost… a lot of money. 😐
