Joyas Oaxaqueñas Blanco con Gusano is made with Maguey espadin (Agave angustifolia) in Tlacolula, Oaxaca. The agave are cooked in an underground pit oven, fermented in open air, crushed by tahona, and double distilled in copper alambique stills. After bottling there are gusano (worms) added to the mezcal.

Joyas Oaxaqueñas Mezcal is produced by Casa Ausencio León in Tlacolula De Matamoros, Oaxaca, which also produces a few other brands, like Ojo de Tigre, that are available internationally.
