Santa Pedrera Mezcal has aromas of ash, and flavors of tropical fruit, and a creamy mouthfeel. A hint of salinity and spice rounds out the finish.

About this mezcal

Santa Pedrera Mezcal is made with agave Espadin in San Agustín Amatengo, Oaxaca. Mezcalero Carino Ramirez cooks the agave in an underground pit oven, mills the agave via a horse-drawn tahona, ferments the agave using air-borne yeasts, and double distills this mezcal in a copper pot still to 46% ABV.

Santa Pedrera Mezcal

Very straightforward cheap Espadin. Dry sugar, agave, alcohol. Bit reminiscent of white rum. Not terrible, probably fine in cocktails. 46%, Lote: 030-SP/2019.
