About this mezcal

Santa Pedrera Mezcal is made with agave Espadin in San Agustín Amatengo, Oaxaca. Mezcalero Carino Ramirez cooks the agave in an underground pit oven, mills the agave via a horse-drawn tahona, ferments the agave using air-borne yeasts, and double distills this mezcal in a copper pot still to 46% ABV.

Santa Pedrera Mezcal

A very nice mezcal you get a tropical fruit flavor the finish is clean, sweet and grassy with a lot of lovely smokiness that you constantly get wifts of when sipping. Highly recommend this as it brings back many found memories of Mexico.

Very straightforward cheap Espadin. Dry sugar, agave, alcohol. Bit reminiscent of white rum. Not terrible, probably fine in cocktails. 46%, Lote: 030-SP/2019.
