About this mezcal
Se Busca Añejo is made from 100% agave Espadin in San Juan del Rio, Oaxaca by maestros mezcaleros Rodolfo and Mary Lopez Sosa. According to the Stoli Group, owner of Se Busca, their mezcal is manufactured at an unnamed distillery that’s owned by the family that has overseen the artisanal production process for generations. This añejo mezcal is aged 2 years in French oak barrels, giving it a balance of rich agave flavors along with notes of sweet oak, dates, and raisins.
Se Busca Mezcal
Se Busca Mezcal was launched by the Stoli Group, distributors of Stolichnaya Vodka, Cenote Tequila, and a handful of other spirits. Se Busca is marketed as a super-premium mezcal and represents the company’s entrance into the mezcal category. Se Busca means “wanted” and was created to embody the unapologetic, feisty and impactful rebel spirit of the women of the Mexican Revolution. Stoli Group was established in 2013 as the division responsible for the management, distribution and marketing of SPI Groups’s global spirit portfolio. The first bottles of Se Busca Mezcal arrived on shelves in July 2018.

7 reviewsIts nice smell and smooth taste. Not hard mezcal type smokiness, its much more softer than the others. Good for starters

17 reviewsI am conflicted. I definitely dislike what aging and evaporation/angel share does to mezcal, but this one wasn’t so bad. Still didn’t taste like a mezcal. More like aged tequila or close to cachaça even. But not as bad as reposado.

8 reviewsFRENCH OAK. MAGIC. I went through the entire lineup and they seriously go good, better and BEST. Has that incredible maple vibe going on. I’m not one who likes smoke and this has none. It’s my favorite mezcal this far.
