The ImpEx Collection Tobala Capon from Victor Ramos is produced in Miahuatlan, Oaxaca. Victor single-distills his mezcal in a copper refrescadera still. These maguey Tobala had their quiotes castrated as they matured, allowing for more sugar to concentrate in the heart of the agave.
The ImpEx Collection
The ImpEx Collection is managed by Sam Filmus, President and Managing Director of ImpEx Beverages. He, along with his business partner, Chris Uhde, select whiskey casks to be part of this special selection. They also include some small batch rums and agave spirits as part of the collection.

Palate & Finish: Mesquite, lime, eucalyptus, cedar plank, green nuts, very green and almost more karwinskii like than tobala fruity. Finish is sage, potpourri, bitter grapefruit, ginger
Solid and enjoyable from Victor. A little more floral and herbal than I expected but good.
