I’m drawn to Mezcal for the smoke flavor. I think the smoke is fantastic. It has lots of it which I love Reminds me exactly of a very smokey scotch. If you don’t like a heavy smoke flavor then you’re not going to like it. But for me that’s the only reason I drink Mezcal and pay the premium. Otherwise I’ll drink a cheap Blue agave tequila lol.

Very little smoke. I was very disappointed. I’m new to drinking Mezcal and it’s very hard to find where I live. (Wichita, KS) Only $30ish bottle they had at this particular liquor store.I’m drawn to the smokiness which IMO is the only reason to pay the premium for Mezcal. Otherwise there’s plenty of good cheaper tequilas I would buy. Now I drive 25 min across town to get a bottle of Xicaru. I don’t get why you’d make Mezcal if it’s not smokey lol. 🤷‍♂️
