LOT # CAMP-I01. A fantastic traditional mezcal from Ejutla. Clean and clear, medium-bodied. I got sweet aromas like caramel, cooked agave, and chocolate, orange blossom, eucalyptus, and rosemary followed by traces of pleasant smoke.
The mouthfeel is silky and tingly. You find citrus flavors of lime zest and fresh greens like celery, and green pepper, complemented by sweet tones of cooked maguey, caramel, herbaceous, and finished by a balance of smoke. At 40% abv its a pleasant sipper for those who enjoy their mezcal and newcomers looking to try mezcal as well. I prefer mezcal neat, but have experimented with some nice cocktails with it as well, shared it to make new fans to the world of mezcal.
Enjoy!
