Acre Espadin has a medium nose with floral notes as well as hints of smoked agave, pineapple, and lime. It is produced by Honorato Cruz.
About this mezcal
Acre Espadin is made with 7-8 year old Maguey Espadin (Agave angustifolia). Maestro Mezcalero Honorato Cruz mills the agave by tahona, ferments with spring water, and double distills in a 250 liter copper still.
Acre Mezcal
Acre Mezcal began as a bootleg operation in 2017, tucked away in the foothills of San Jose del Cabo at Acre Baja, a lush sanctuary set on 25 acres of greenery. The Acre Mezcal brand is related to the Acre Baja resort, which features elegant treehouses, organic farms, private event spaces, and an award-winning bar and restaurant.
In 2021, the brand raised money via the StartEngine platform at a $10 million pre-money valuation.
