Erstwhile Arroqueño Mezcal is produced by Juan Hernández Méndez in Santiago Matatlán, Oaxaca using 100% maguey Arroqueño (agave Americana). This mezcal was naturally fermented in open-air wooden vats and distilled in copper alembic pots. This mezcal has aromas of perfume, spices, and burnt orange. On the palate, there are notes of green plantain and citrus.
