Mexicat Joven is made with the Weber Blue agave that is also used in Tequila. Though it’s not entirely unknown to see mezcal made with this type of agave, it is rare. It’s distilled using a copper still in the state of Zacatecas Mexico.

Notes of smoke, white fleshed stone fruit like apples and pears together with cooked agave. Quite enjoyable but no wow-factor. Probably great in a cocktail.
