Bright floral nose on this with licorice, honeycomb, and new carpet. Sharp on the palate but opens to a nice roasted agave finish.

Ignacio Parada, edition 10 from 2015. Bottle 258/450. Batch IPCUI081117EJ. My first time trying El Jolgorio. Sweet, dusty, flour and some spearmint with wet hay. All those notes carry through the finish. reminds me of Los Nahuales Método Antiguo

Lot A-06-M-19 May 2019, 700 liters. 51.4% ABV. My first Mexicano, and I’m very impressed. Fruity and spicy notes, sweet butter, roasted agave and a lingering finish.

Lot E-04-C-17 Emigdio Jarquin. February 2017, 170 liters. 51.1% ABV. Perfume and floral notes, Cooked agave on the palate. Juicy fruit and candy on the finish.

Lot A-09-C-16 Aquilino Garcia March 2016, 1048 liters. 51.7% ABV. Aromas of dried fruits, licorice and grilled chili’s. Continues through the finish with smoke and chili powder candy.

Mezcalero No. 22

Nose of vanilla, buttery popcorn, carmel and butterscotch. Very earthy flavors hard to describe. A long pleasant peppery finish. I’m glad I bought a bottle.
