Botik Lechuguilla from Dolores Gonzales Torres was produced using Agave shrevei in Batopilas, Chihuahua. The agaves were crushed by hand with an ax, fermented in a single underground fermentation vat made over 100 years ago, and distilled with a still made from Higuera wood (dense pinewood more or less). This is a blend of 4 different batches.

708 reviewsAromas of cocao, cola nuts, toffee, sandlewood, and toasted sesame oil. The palate is very smoky. It has notes of a freshly oiled baseball glove, mesquite, oak, and dry maple glaze. The mouthfeel is delicate and silky. This is nice, even when tasting against other batches that he’s produced. No batch number from what I can tell.
