About this mezcal
Riazuleño Contemporaneo is made with maguey Espadin and maguey Tobala. The agave used in this mezcal are cooked in an underground pit oven and they are distilled twice in a copper column still. This mezcal has aromas of grilled pineapple, papaya, and smoke. The palate is floral.
Riazuleño Mezcal is a newer release from the Riazul Tequila company, which was founded in 2008. Riazuleño is produced in the foothills of San Dionisio Ocotepec in Oaxaca on a single estate, owned and operated by Maestro Mezcalero Gelasio Cruz.

Very smooth, easy drinker. Sweet on the nose. Mildly earthy and floral. Slightly woody. No strong finish. Enjoyable
