About this mezcal
Sacapalabras Tobala is produced in the beautiful community of Santa Catarina Minas, Oaxaca. The traditions of Minas are becoming more well-known in the mezcal community, and the Sacapalabras brand is doing a lot to keep those traditions alive today. While each release from the brand may come from different producers, all are made in the traditions of this small community, mashing the agave by hand, fermenting with naturally occurring open-air yeasts, and distilling in small clay pots. Many batches of this Tobala are made by famed maestro mezcalero Eduardo “Lalo” Angeles. The ABV will vary by batch.

Apple, grasses, mild clay on the nose. Smells refreshing and light. Taste is harder to decipher but interesting. Some fruit, mild sweetness, also sour notes. Smooth but also a mild creamy feel.
