2022 Don Santos. Cimarron agave. Rock fermented and distilled with a Filipino still. 45% abv. Some fine white particulates in the bottle. Soft roast agave on the nose. At first the flavors are kind of subtle but they ramp up towards the finish. Enjoyable and easy to sip.

Bottle 552/672. Lote 002. Smells and tastes like juicy agave and funky fruits. Theres spice, minerality, and a brightness to it as well. Pleasant finish that reminds you it was delicious.
Previously had a bottle both this from cdmx that was under a differnt label and it was a memorable too.

Vibrant set of flavors with bright fruits, roast agave, minerality, and flowers. The mouth feel is soft and delicate. Maybe a little thin if anything. Really unique and enjoyable mezcale.

Slightly rotting agave and fruity funk on the nose. Agave with lots or rubbery lactic notes. Kind of like a clarin rum. Tingly on the tongue (?). With a unremarkable finish.

Nose is fairly light roasted agave, earthiness, and a little funk. Tastes of bright citrus and minerality with some roasted agave. The mouth feel on this one is quite drying. Moderate finish the carriers consistent notes.

A nose of slighty over ripe fruit and agave. No hints of smoke. Tastes delicious, full of agave subtle fruit notes and minerality. A really vibrant exchange of flavours and an almost effervescent mouth feel. Really enjoy this one.

Somewhat funky soft nose. Light mouth feel. The agave is there with a pronounced smokiness, and some subtle fruits and salty minerality. The finish hangs around and is pleasant. Overall it is fine mezcal but nothing memorable.

JUICY FRUIT! The flavor of overripe tropical fruit is strong with this one. Some really great notes and a few that are a little lactic for me. Great for a few sips and to expose others to the wild flavors of agave distillates. Just gets a bit overwhelming.
