About this mezcal
Wild Common Cuishe from Gregorio García is produced in San Luis Amatlán, Oaxaca. The agaves are roasted in a pit oven, fermented with natural yeasts in open-air pine vats, and double distilled in a small copper pot still.
Wild Common
Wild Common was founded by Andy Bardon, an athlete, National Geographic photographer, and former mountain guide. As a businessman, his goal was to search for the most transparent products on earth produced in a sustainable way. Wild Common spirits are clean, additive-free, low calorie, gluten-free, sustainable, and transparent. Their tequila releases are produced at Cascahuin (NOM 1123), a highly-regarded distillery.

Review #106: The nose has sweet florals, and light caramel. The palate has caramel, sweet florals, vanilla, crisp red apple, banana, cinnamon, and a bit of rubber on the finish.
This was the best of the wild common mezcals I’ve had. The nose was unfortunately underwhelming and light on aromas. The palate, though, brings a lot more complexity that I enjoyed with the mix of fruits and florals. It is different from other cuishes I’ve had. I would say this is a soft 7/10 but the flavors are pretty enough to give it that bump up.
