This is a unique well executed agave spirit. It has some of those sour-leaning wood notes which I sometimes don’t like but there is only a touch which provides a nice balance. The “sour wood” is balanced with some rock candy alcohol and lemon oil. As others have noted, there is a bit of creaminess to this as well. Didn’t even notice the ABV until checking the batch info, wow. Definitely not something that overpowers the palate. Batch 202207.

Batch 202207. Aromas of Angel Food Cake, orange peel, grapefruit, carnations, and yogurt. The palate has a bit of black pepper, fresh cream, and peaches. This is really creamy and thick on the palate. Very easy and soft for 53%.

Probably my personal favourite from Mexico in a bottle event in SF. Extremely unique and well produced. Even at 53% it didn’t feel overbearing at all. Creamy, sweet agave moving into a tobacco, musty presence with a bit of cacao. Satisfying, long finish. I’d get a bottle!
