Lot SDC-201
Nose if a sweet fruit like a very well ripened banana, smoke and some ethanol heat
Taste is lightly fruity and lemon zest. Smoke is clearly present but not offensive and had a dry finish.
Nose is all ethanol heat with some sweetness
Taste is mostly smoke and light cinnamon and sweetness and more smoke to follow. No floral notes like Tobala’s are known for and is all drowned out by the signature over smokey sweet flavor like most cheap Espadins in the US.
Nose has a sweet buttery punch with some lemon and honey notes
Taste a slightly humid soil with some light floral notes and finishes with a cheesy nutty flavor that’s hard to distinguish.
Nose is spicy like chili powder, minerality and some sweet agave notes
Taste I get roasted pumpkin seeds, a humid floral note, and finishes lightly smokey with a creamy hint to the smoke. An amazing expression of Mexicano and one of the best El Jolgorios I’ve tried yet.

Nose is very vegetal with some firewood
Taste is very anise forward with floral and nutty notes to follow. Some basil to note and was fairly fruity and very smooth with low heat on the palate.

Nose was sweet chilli pepper and berries with some umami
Taste is very sweet upfront with cranberries and floral notes to follow. Some green pepper notes and really low heat on the palate. One of the most balanced pechugas I’ve had that also offers loads of complexity.
Nose is salty, umami and I even picked up on some fresh pretzel
Taste is smokey with notes of firewood and some spice and citrus to follow. Not too much body or complexion to this one but the price is great for the quality. Would mainly use for cocktails but also an approachable sipper.
Lot # RD-47
Nose is bright and fresh lemon and a clean somewhat sweet grass
Taste was a lot like the nose with bright and earthy flavors like citrus, soapstone and sweet grass. More smokey than most Cuishes because of the Espadin which I really enjoyed with this Ensamble. Had a notably thinner mouthful and finished with mild smoke and more earthy notes.

Nose is sweet grass, floral and slightly cheesy.
Taste is damp soil, a funky herbal taste that cuts through well, and ends dry with a slight green pepper spice. Very smooth with little alcohol heat to note.
Like a lot of Karwinskii’s the humid soil taste is there but not as much as other types of Cuishes I’ve tried.

Nose is ethanol and artificial sweetener
Taste is smoke up front, artificial Liquorice and some chocolate undertones. Finishes again with smoke. Would be decent for a paloma but not my choice of a sipper.
Lot #622
Nose is roasted nuts and firewood
Taste is some umami up front with a citrus-y acidic coldbrew coffee to follow. Some minerality notes and finishes on the smokier side.
Great intorductory mezcal but any price above $50 is a bit steep.
