I couldn’t compare it much since I never tried Coyote before, but absolutely loved it.
Very specific. Clay still give special character. Enjoyable a lot. One of favourites, however I love whole brand!
I love mezcal but I strongly dislike tequila. In one of bars I visited I saw a bottle of Derrumbes in colour I didn’t try yet. I ordered before bartender could warn me and I didn’t look at the bottle before trying. It was the first mezcal ever that didn’t taste good for me. Smells like tequila even. If you are like me and dislike tequila, don’t waste your time on this one.
I am conflicted. I definitely dislike what aging and evaporation/angel share does to mezcal, but this one wasn’t so bad. Still didn’t taste like a mezcal. More like aged tequila or close to cachaça even. But not as bad as reposado.
Disappointed. Aging (I tried joven which was okay) castrated this mezcal so far. Got only a sip and I am happy I didn’t get more. Probably aged mezcals aren’t my thing
I got a bottle of it as a gift from someone who doesn’t have much knowledge about mezcals. It ain’t terrible, but I didn’t fall in love either.
Smoke focused. Not much else there. Very nice bottle design, but also doesn’t look like Mezcal, it wouldn’t catch my eye on the shelf.
Really nice. The bottle looked different from this on site but all other informations are the same. Not sure about the batch as I tried it at the bar. Pleasure to sip.
I was very excited to try it as it was first aged mezcal I saw. It didn’t have the character of mezcal. Super disappointed
Actually first mezcal I ever tried and liked, so always gonna have a soft spot for it. Great for mixing, Vida is good enough to take a sip neat, but also not extremely special. So I don’t feel guilty/ as if I was wasting it when I’m in the mood for a cocktail.
