47% ABV but very well integrated on the nose. But at the same time quite restrained nose. Agave, bacon fat, sage ans a hint of smoke. 3/5
More flavour on the palate. More smoke and also green leaves and grass. 4/5012917 bottle nr 353/1060

Overall this is a great mezcal/pechuga. But considering the price tag I would have hoped for a bit more wow-factor. It starts off with smoky coal, then a nice minerality followed by citrus like lemon and grapefruit. It also has a mild note of turkey ham towards the end. Dark chocolate on the palate. I would have liked more notes for the pechuga treatment. Still good though.

Does mass production on an industrial scale equals a bad mezcal? Not necessarily…I quite like this one. It’s a solid mezcal with good value. Notes of smoke, mineral and cooked agave. Dark chocolate on the palate. Great for drinks.

This is not necessarily bad but it’s not what I’m looking for in a mezcal. This, to me, smells exactly like a margherita cocktail: salt, tequila and citrus like lime and oranges. Not much else and therefore quite boring in my opinion.
Some dark chocolate on the palate.

3,5 for this joven mezcal.
Notes of smoke, white fleshed stone fruit like apples and pears together with cooked agave. Quite enjoyable but no wow-factor. Probably great in a cocktail.

This is one of my absolute favourites. It’s truly unique, interesting and delicious.
If you could buy minerality in a bottle it would smell like this. It smells like soil and wet gravel after the rain. Forest floor and a hint of cherries.
Dark chocolate on the palate.

Notes of sweet vanilla, paint, dairy and some jalapeño on the palate. Nice but nothing to get excited about. Probably alright for drinks.

Quite anonymous notes of earth, rose and vanilla. On the palate it’s super perfumed. You could easily fool me that I was drinking perfume.

I find this a bit anonymous but there are notes of mild smoke, flowers, tar and cucumber.

Notes of smoke, leather, minerals and cucumber. Also a hint of sun screen which I’m not super fond of. Black olives on the palate yes.

It smells of Christmas trees and pine cones, vanilla, tar, banana soap and cookies. Dark chocolate on the palate. Great personality/character.Scent: 4/5

I prefer their Mexicano much more.
This one has notes of mineral, cleaning detergent and strawberries. Quite bitter on the pallet.

Ahhh I really liked this one. And compared to the Doba-Yej that I had before this is heaven. Really interesting notes of green vegetation, smoke, Christmas spice and citrus.

2013 vintage. Pink/purple top ribbon.
This is by far my least favourite mezcal of the around 30 Mezcal’s that I’ve tried. The scent is quite anonymous, some smoke, paint and burning alcohol. On the palate it’s bad but then it calms down only to come back even worse with more bitterness and burning alcohol. It’s actually amazing how it can do that. I got shivers down my spine on every sip(in a bad way). If I could give it zero stars I would.
